Meet Julie Taylor

Julie Taylor is an experienced canine behaviorist, nationally certified dog trainer, and a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT). She offers a wide range of training services including: obedience, behavior modification, canine body language & psychology, service and medical dog training, pet therapy, emotional support dog, deaf dog, anxiety management, and more.

She utilizes positive reinforcement training (not punishment), and trains the owner(s) right along with the dog, using step-by-step instructions, and by explaining canine body language and psychology; which helps to define root problems of behavior.

Additionally, as the director of Pets with Purpose Therapy, Julie takes her own registered therapy dog to various locations such as schools, U.S. veterans, special events, community events, nursing homes, hospitals, bereavements, and more. If you would like to learn how to train and register a therapy dog, she offers workshops that teach you how to accomplish this. It is Julie's goal to develop social harmony within the canine community and enhance the connection and communication between dogs and their owners.
