I brought my service dog-in-training to her for some help with task training. Within minutes, he understood what she was asking & was picking things up. I met Mrs. Julie when I was in desperate need of a dog trainer. My dog, Soju, showed up in the bus rider line while I was at school one day in March. My students came in the classroom and told me all about a shaggy dog in the parking lot jumping on the kids! As soon as I saw him I knew I had to take him home with me. I was in contact with Mrs. Julie by the next week. Soju was already three years old and house trained, but he had been abandoned by his previous owner and left outside for a full year in the “care” of someone else. He was matted, had heart worms, and was terrified of other dogs. Mrs. Julie set up a program for Soju to help him adjust to life back inside a house and living alongside people again. While Soju learned, Mrs. Julie also taught me how to be a responsible dog owner. Her lessons were always just enough for us to handle and I especially loved the articles and instructions she provided for each new week. Mrs. Julie is wonderful and patient and very willing to adjust instruction based on Soju’s needs. She also was very flexible with Soju’s medical needs since three weeks into our training we had to pause for a while to deal with Soju’s heart worm treatment. Since we began training with Mrs. Julie, Soju has learned so many commands and tricks. He is well behaved and healthy and I feel like without Mrs. Julie’s assistance we could not have done it! 5-Stars

I have a 3 yr old Shih Tzu that I brought to Mrs. Julie to see if she could get him to stop biting. During our first visit (evaluation) she knew right off the bat that he has fear and anxiety problems. I signed up for a 6 week course that she customized to my needs. In the first 3 weeks Poppy stopped biting! I’m not sure who learned more this 6 weeks, Poppy or me. Mrs. Julie taught me as a dog owner how to effectively work with my dog. I’ve never felt so confident with a dog before. She’s the bomb!

I needed to get a service dog for my medical condition. I had a consultation visit with Mrs. Julie and she helped me figure out what type of tasks the dog would need to do. i already had a dog in mind and Mrs. Julie came to see it and test it to see if it would be a good service dog. It turned out that the dog was really cute but it would not work good for a service dog. I was really disappointed because I really wanted that puppy. But I went ahead and let Mrs. Julie pick out a good puppy for me. I’m SO glad i waited for her choice!! She picked the PERFECT dog for me! Wow! Me and my dog have been training with her for about 4 months now and it’s going great. I’m so glad I found out about her! 5 stars!
Mrs. Julie is definitely not a typical dog trainer. she’s more like a mash-up of a college professor and Sherlock Holmes. Both Me and my dog BUZZ are ”lightyears “ better off after working with Miss Julie. I feel like we graduated from a college class. Because of the detailed way she taught me, I feel so much more confident with BUZZ. I actually feel like I know what I’m doing! out of 1 to 5 stars, I’d give her a 10!

I met Julie in the perfect way. I knew there was a dog trainer that lived on my street but had not met her. I was outside with my 3 month old Toy Poodle Bijou when Julie walked by with her dog Chewie. Bijou took off running right into the arms of Julie. I explained that I was having a run-away problem with Bijou and she got a big smile on her face and said "I can help with that". And so our relationship began!
Julie is a great trainer. She really knows the behavior patterns of the small poodles. During the 6 week course, she taught me how to handle numerous problems while working with Bijou. It was actually a lot of fun.
Julie is kind and patient. I still use her techniques a year later and probably always will. I am still seeing some of the positive outcomes of the training.
I would highly recommend her as a dog trainer. I still ask her advice occasionally and she graciously responds.

Highly recommend Mrs. Julie for any of your dog training and assessment needs! I had Mrs. Julie assess my 5 year old pit bull about his anxiety and fear issues. I had asked two other trainers in the past and heard the same thing every time “he’s too old, too this, too that,” but she jumped right in and said that she would help us. She reassured me, walked me through my dogs emotions/thought process, made me feel more at ease and comfortable, and gave me the knowledge and tools I needed to help my boy. I’ve been so worried about him, but she helped me to see that he was not “too old to help” as the other trainers told me. She was very patient and loving to my boy. We will definitely be coming back for any future needs and recommending her to anyone and everyone. We are incredibly grateful that she took the time to help us, when no one else would. ❤️

Mrs. Julie is wonderful and I highly recommend her services as a dog trainer for your fur babies. We were considering surrendering our Catahoula cur for behavioral problems when we found Julie. After a couple of lessons we were on the right track, we are now enjoying the relationship we have with our cur. He’s a handful but Julie has given us the knowledge and confidence to handle him. In the future we will be starting our pups off right with Julie.

Julie did a great job with our Aussie-doodle puppy. Tigger was 6 months when he attended. He was shy, afraid of new situations, and people.
Julie provided a safe environment, and all training was presented at a pace he felt comfortable with.
We think he learned alot and retained most of that training over the months
